WellSky TeamDME & CareTend Automation Layer
WellSky TeamDME (and CareTend on the post-acute side) is solid as a system of record. Our four productized engagements close the workflow gaps WellSky doesn't ship with — without forcing a platform migration.
Where WellSky leaves margin on the table
WellSky is a system of record. It is not a workflow engine. These are the gaps we close most often:
WellSky's intake flow can be configured a dozen ways. Once it's live, retraining staff on a redesigned flow is harder than building a layer on top.
WellSky tracks the auth record but relies on users updating status fields. When discipline slips, aging is invisible.
Some WellSky shops do outreach beautifully. Most don't, because the platform doesn't drive it — it just records what was done.
WellSky doesn't enforce KX rule logic at claim creation. The claim leaves clean from your side but bounces at the payer.
What we build on top of WellSky
Four productized engagements, each one a thin automation layer that integrates with WellSky via its API or via RPA where the API doesn't expose the surface we need.
OCR your faxed referrals, validate against Medicare LCDs and payer rules, post into WellSky with missing-element flags. $2K–$4.5K, 2–4 weeks.
Live aging queue, expiration alerts, one-click packet regen pulling WellSky documents automatically. $2.5K–$5K, 3–5 weeks.
Multi-channel outreach, eligibility check pre-burst, ResMed/Philips usage data integration for CPAP, response routing into WellSky tasks. $2.5K–$5.5K, 4–6 weeks.
Pre-claim documentation cross-check, KX modifier engine, denial-risk score per claim. $1.8K–$4K, 2–4 weeks.
Integration notes for WellSky
WellSky's API surface varies by module — TeamDME and CareTend expose different scopes. We use the API where it exists and RPA where it doesn't. All access through a dedicated service account, BAA-covered, role-restricted to the minimum permissions each engagement needs.
